Recruitment, Renewals, Mentoring
The Membership Committee is chaired by the immediate past president and is charged with new member recruitment and membership retention. The committee works together to create a program for promoting BOMA within the professional real estate community and to expand the network of property owners, managers, developers and related vendors into the organization. In addition to recruiting, the committee members serve as mentors to new members to assist in their assimilation into the organization. They are there to greet guests and visitors at monthly lunch meetings and events and to help new members find an active role within the organization through committee involvement and participation.
BOMA GLR is required through its Bylaws to maintain a minimum of a 50/50 ratio between its Principal and Associate memberships. Therefore it becomes the focus of the Membership Committee to invite prospective Principal members into the organization for recruitment.
BOMA, as an international organization, has built a strong professional reputation within the real estate industry; it is the Membership Committee’s job to expand that reputation within greater Little Rock through member recruitment and retention.
